Clean skin

It is best to apply makeup to fresh, clean skin. Before applying makeup, wash your skin with a gentle cleanser that will support your skin type.

Be gentle when cleansing. The skin on your face is thin and sensitive, so there is no need to scrub vigorously.

Just use your finger tips to massage gently in a circular motion. Using warm water will help open the pores and lift dirt and bacteria from the skin, but avoid water that is too hot as it can dry out the skin.

Be sure to rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.

Extra skin care

Face masks are great additions to any skincare routine to target specific skin care concerns. Masks can help hydrate skin, remove excess oils and help improve the appearance of pores—while providing a relaxing, spa-like experience at home.

A face mask is commonly used for:

~ Hydrating and moisturizing the skin

~ Removing excess oils

~ Improving the appearance of pores

~ Pulling out impurities

~ Helping reduce signs of aging

~ Always apply a face mask to clean, dry skin so you’re not layering a face mask over dirt and bacteria.

Ageing gracefully

Over time, the ability of the sebaceous glands to produce oil slows down, often leading to skin dryness, wrinkles, fine linesand flakiness.Early or premature aging is related to a variety of factors including and not limited to UV rays from the sun, smoking, excess alcohol, sleep deprivation, stress and a diet rich in sugar and other refined carbohydrates.

Limit and protect yourself from too much sun exposure and choose products that incorporate age-fighting ingredients such as vitamin A.

Make lifestyle modifications to delay the effects of aging by exercising regularly, drinking plenty of water and choosing a diet with good fruits and vegetables that are rich in antioxidants.
